Laboratories

Oriented practice, the training of engineers at Polytechnic Agadir relies heavily on the work in the scientific and technical laboratories. For this, the school has more than 20 highly equipped laboratories:

5 Computer Labs and Networking

More than 200 computers are available to students for a very supported training on IT tools. Several courses in various engineering disciplines rely on specialized software to provide the student with modern and operational skills. The computer center of Polytechnic Agadir provides practical works:

Also, a Cisco training center is equipped to allow students to follow Cisco certification programs under the “Cisco Academy Partner”.

Outside courses, students have free access to computer rooms to realize their works and projects.

3 Labs for automation, control and robotics

Industrial computing, automated systems, analog feed-back control, digital control, are all subject to lab models inspired by industrial issues and available in the laboratories of the school.
The integrative projects and graduation projects using these labs to develop new ideas and test technology solutions applied in company.

4 Electronic Labs

Digital electronics, analog electronics, power electronics, Production of electronics, Electrical, programmable components, Real Time … are topics that are subject to more than 200 hours of practical works in our engineers training. For this, four laboratories were equipped with high-tech equipment to enable the student to test all of its acquired practices.

3 Labs of basic science in engineering

Physics, waves and optics, Statics, Kinematics, Dynamics, Engineering Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Energy … scientific axis represents 40% of lessons in the integrated preparatory program including 35% of practical activities in three different physics laboratories equipped with all the necessary teaching models.

2 Labs of Chemistry and Microbiology

The food industry engineering courses mainly take place in two laboratories: chemistry laboratory and microbiology laboratory. Both laboratories are equipped to accommodate groups of 20 students thus ensuring close supervision and highly personalized.

1 materials Laboratory

Featuring a unique pneumatic launcher of its kind on the African continent, materials testing laboratory allows students and researchers from Polytechnic Agadir to work on material characterization and simulation of impacts. Some lab works have been designed on this high tech equipment by world-renowned researchers to enable students of mechanical and civil fields to learn about the advanced characterization of materials.

1 Mechanical workshop

As a great “open-space” technological hall, the mechanical workshop allows students to work on machine tools and CNC machines for the production of various mechanical works. This workshop also features the first 3D printer introduced in Morocco in 2010. The students are discovering the manufacturing processes and use it in their mechanical projects.

1 Food Processing Laboratory

Food procedures taught in food engineering industry, are subject to practical work in a mini-plant room. This mini-plant allows the student to work in a real production environment. Food methods practiced in this mini-factory are distillation, the solid-liquid extraction, filtration and industrial drying.
